Local Assistance & Disaster Resource Centers will open to the public on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00PM. Starting Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Disaster Resource Centers will be available to the public from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Emergency Housing | Hilton announced it is making 20,000 hotel room nights available at no charge to impacted people across the greater Los Angeles area.
To be considered for the program, residents need to first apply to 211 LA for housing assistance using this application: bit.ly/211-Emergency-Services-Request Residents who have already applied through 211 LA do not to need to fill out another application.
FEMA Assistance is also now available at DisasterAssistance.gov or 1-800-621-3362.
Sunday 1/12 and Monday 1/13 you can also access FEMA Assistance in person at 8 libraries in LA County from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents affected by the wildfires will receive assistance with submitting applications for disaster relief. Additional dates and locations are pending.

To access vital records: Los Angeles County residents directly impacted by fires can request property and vital records free of charge to help with recovery efforts from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office. If you have been impacted, please call 800-201-8999 and select Option 1, followed by Option 2, or email your request with specific information to recorder@rrcc.lacounty.gov. Read an FAQ here.
For families with children impacted by the Eaton fire, LA County Parks Care Camps will provide youth and teens with a supportive space for fun and recreation including music, arts and crafts, sports activities and field trips to the LA County Natural History Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, Dodger Stadium, & more. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided daily; teens will also get supper.

Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara is hosting free two-day insurance support workshops on January 25 and 26 in Pasadena to help survivors understand their insurance policies and the claims process, while also providing information about available resources for rebuilding and recovery. These workshops are open to all those impacted by the recent wildfires. Call 800-927-4357 to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a Department of Insurance expert.
The Department has resources for disaster survivors and strongly encourages consumers to check out these resources, including how to avoid scams after a disaster as there is often unscrupulous individuals who try and take advantage of disaster survivors who can be vulnerable during a challenging time. Consumers who have questions on their insurance or wish to file a complaint against a public adjuster can do so on the Department’s website or by calling 800-927-4357.
The Department urges consumers to check the public adjuster’s license and make sure they are properly licensed and in good standing by visiting the Department’s website or by calling 800-927-4357. Also homeowners’ should be sure to check the contractor’s license with the Contractors’ State License Board.

PUSD students can access FREE online medical care and mental health teletherapy through existing partner Hazel Health
